Virtual Humans in a Virtual Real World

Real Virtual Worlds define a new interface for networked multimedia applications. The experience of "being there" in the Virtual Real World is a necessary precondition for cooperative action with multiple remote users working with social interactions. Using virtual actors in the virtual environment is needed that feeling of "being there".

Software technology and the increasing efficiency of the hardware and networks enable the creation of more andmore complex interfaces for networked multimedia applications. A networked Virtual Real World provides a natural shared environment, by supporting interactive human collaboration and integrating different media in real-time in a 3D surrounding. Its strength comes from the fact that it aids awareness of and interaction with other users; and it also provides an appropriate mechanism for interaction with the environment by aiding the visual and audio mechanisms for information sharing and Protection.

MellaniuM team has a system to a networked shared virtual environment (Virtual Real World), multiple users, which supports interact with each other in real time developed. 3D virtual human actors can represent the users to serve as a mediator to interact with the environment and others. The agents have to be of similar appearance and is similar behavior to real people who will make this possible meaning of 'being there' for the users in the virtual realWorld.

The virtual world will play Real various media, namely sound, 3D models, face interaction between users, representing images of textures on 3D objects depicted, and real-time videos. Instead of windows, or applications for each medium, the Virtual Real World will integrate all functions into a single 3D environment, therefore, provides a natural surface like the real world. The Virtual Real World will be a general-purpose stream, so that the use ofdifferent models for different applications.
